I've done our taxes on line for the passed 4 years. I first go to www.irs.gov because they let you know which service is best for you. They normally offer around 20-25 different companies. Normally if you meet any of the different companies criteria, filing your federal return is free, it's the state that costs sometimes from 9.95 to 24.95. The website that fits you best will walk you through step by step on how to do it and show you how to make your deductions. It's pretty neat. At the end, you can even set up to make payments or whatever. You just print your copies out and mail them in. Good luck, I hope this info helps.
