Has anyone used a Dyson?  

Yours is 6 years old, does it still work like new? Have you ever had any problems with it?

It still works great. You should see the stuff it picks up still. The only problem I have ever had with it, is that the belt for the roller came off once, and that's it. Oh, and somehow, ages ago my ex husband (when we were still together) cracked the handle. Since the the handle broke off but I stuck it back on with plastic cement and it works just as well. It just doesn't look as pretty any more.

I figured the price would come down in time also...I'm hoping anyways. I'm a big freak on having my carpet clean, especially with the dogs here in the house. I bought a Hooveer Vison and it works ok but we're on the 3rd motor for the darn thing! I bought it, got it home, used it about 1 month and the motor burned out, it just quit for no reason. I sent it to be fixed on the warrenty and it took them 7 MONTHS to get it back to me! I think they do this to use up the time on the warrenty! I had it home for about another month or so and the motor burned out AGAIN! I called them up and did ALOT of complaining about how disgusted I am with this product. My warrenty was about up so I sent it in right away and they replaced the motor AGAIN and got it back to me within about 3 months. I had to pay for shipping for all of this too! I am just so disgusted with the HOOVER company, I will NEVER buy another one of their vacuums!

My wife swore by the Hoover brand for years and she had the wind tunnel kind too till I bought the Dyson.

She tried to tell me they were the same and she would stick with her Hoover. So I left her vacuum a room with the Hoover, as usual she was able to pick up the dirt and she could even see it in the canister. I then went over it with the Dyson and she was amazed at the dirt and hairI was able to still lift up with the Dyson.

We then tried this with a different room but in reverse order, I went first and the she went, well the Hoove rdid not pick anything up after the Dyson was ran. Needless to say the Hoover found it's way to the garbage bin and my wife is now sold on the Dyson.

I'm totally disgusted witht the Hoover Fusion and the Hoover company. I will never buy another one of their products. Good luck with your Eureka!
