All of the local news reports seem to think that the Penguins will be staying in Pittsburgh but they haven't offered up any real reasons for their optimism. Kansas City is offering them a great deal with no rent and an equal share in building management and Las Vegas is looking to get a franchise also. Pittsburgh can guarantee and loyal fanbase and the NHL and Mario want the team to stay here, but we still don't have any real plans to start building the new arena. I sure hope they stay. I've never been a big fan of hockey but I miss the days of Mario and Jaromir where we actually had a team to be excited about. We're finally getting back to that and we may lose the team =(

The recent sale fell through because the NHL put in a number of roadblocks, the biggest one being a stipulation that the new owner could not move them out of Pittsburgh. I would have to believe that this would be a part of any future sale attempt, so my feeling is that they will be staying put for the time being

I am hoping that they will be staying in Pittsburgh. I find it hard to believe that the city would be willing to lose the team with the major talent they have there now. We just moved from Pittsburgh to Tampa and one of the things that I am missing the most is the sports, you just can't compare.
