9-11...Many of us will remember that morning for the rest of our lives... I had just arrived at the medical clinic I worked at in downtown Boston. We had a tv in the break room and I was in there making coffee to start the day. I remember when I heard about the first plane hitting I thought it was just a tragic airline accident...I went back to one of the exam rooms to get things ready when one of the doctors called us all back into the break room, the second plane had hit.. We all sort of stood there stunned.. One of the receptionists had a daughter who lived in the area of the Twin Towers and began to get very upset..She tried calling her, but like many trying to get through to loved ones in NY that day, the phone lines were completely jammed.. My boss, seeing everyone afraid, bewildered, and upset, decided he would close the clinic for the day...He said he would stay on if there were any emergencies but all ready we noticed no one was showing up for thier appointments...People were scared... I remember walking outside on the streets of Downtown Boston..I like many others, had my eyes on the sky.... How airy to think of those planes involved in the attack that first left Boston, flew overhead just hours before....There were many people out on the streets..walking in a daze, eyes full of tears... It seemed everyone in the financial district full of sky scrapers want to get as far away from that area as possible and just wanted to get home to be with family....All of the transit system, buses and trains were running double time and allowing everyone to ride free. The mood on the train was somber and everyone was so quiet...someone in the back had on a little portable radio and we all listened intently to the news coming in and the reports of now a possible 3rd than fourth plane down...It seemed to just become worse and worse... I then heard a loud roar in the sky...Fighter jets...This scared me...I never seen that in the Boston skies...All I could do was wonder what was going on up there...What was going on in my county...In the world...What may still be to come... When I finally got home, and in the days ahead, I noticed something else...Silent skies..Being just 20 miles from Logan Airport I became accustom to the sound of planes landing and taking off..But now just silence.... I won't forget that morning for a long time.. Where were you? What do you remember about it?Shary

I was on my way to work, and listening to 102.1 the edge in dallas. At first I thought it was just an accident but found out when I got to work what was going on. I was consumed at work by this all day searching news sites. I left early to go get my daughter and went to my brother's house. It was such a tragic moment.
