Do You Know Something about James Brown's Movie?  |

|  James Brown is dead on 25th december as everybody know (Rip James) and they are already making a movie about his life. It was a great artist that inspirede famous star like Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger.
I heard they are making a cast to choose the protagonist that will play the James Brown role in the movie. Spike Lee is directing the movie and he have to choose famous star like Prince, Eddie Murphy and Wesley Snipes to play the role of James. Who Do you think can play better the role of James Brown? In my opinion Eddie Murphy could fit well because he's funny as James and his a great actor.

| |  Whoever they choose would have to be a great actor and also be a great entertainer. It would be a difficult role and I really can't think of anyone right now. It might be better to get someone less well known otherwise it might just look like a sketch show send up.

| |  I do know some of James Brown and his music, i play´d some of his songs in a cover-band a few years ago, like sexmachine and i feel good, it´s great music not so easy to let i really groove.
About you´re question, it´s a little hard to chose i did´t even know that they planed a movie from his life.
I was a big fan of Prince in the 80´s, i think he maybe could do the job, but i don´t ecspect that he will. Eddie could be
a good thing, i´m not really sure, it´s hard as i said.

| | Well it worked out fine in that band we had a very good drumer and my brother played the bass like the original, i must say my brother is awesome playing the bass. It´s not just that he has great rythum he also has a great tone, he belongs to the best bass players around our area, but he plays in the wrong band, they just only do covers. But he makes a good side money with it. | | | |

| |  I'd like to see that movie. I don't know about Eddie Murphy, though... he's got the wrong body type, for one thing--JB was a husky, barrel-chested guy. I could see Murphy doing JB's vocals, though, he's good at impersonating voices.
I'm really lucky to have seen JB live, back in 1985--and I thought he was kind of on the 'old' side back then! Little did I know he'd still be doing his 'Star Time' 20 years later!
