What is your opinion of the NRA?

I think that they have a few ideas that are good. I think that Americans have the right to bear arms. But do you really need a gun that is capable of piercing armored vehicles or firing 1000+ rounds a minute. I for one don't see that as sporting or good for home protection. I think if the NRA and the government would work together they could come up with a solution to the gun control problem.
