Las vegas is a facinating place from my experience. It can be the city that never sleeps rather than NY or TOKYO. some people come to visit vegas as a pleasure time , enjoying sightseeing and playing at the casinos while some come in hope of making a life while gambling. Can this really happen? are these people stupid who thinks gambling away in Vegas will change life significantly ? Can it not break your life too? i seen so many people crying on street after they lost money and so many people adking other people for money to get to their hotel etc... Can on really changes their life's fortune in vegas by gambling?

You can never win enough money to change someone's life, you just raise the stake of your next bet. On the other hand, if you don't have control of the demon, you can lose enough money to totally screw you life up. It's fun if you look at it as your cost of entertainment as long as you know your limit, otherwise you can have a lot more fun doing other things with the "big" money that you lose.

I think with some of the examples you gave, there is much much more of a chance of it breaking you then making you. Sure it can make a big impact on your life if you win alot of money and then leave. You could pay off a credit card, payoff a car, make a big payment on your mortgage or put it all in your savings and get a few things you thought you'd never be able to afford. but remember this" Casinos do not exist to give money away out of the goodness of their heart. They can't pay for all those employees, all those lights, all that electricity, all those machines by giving money away. They exist to TAKE your money and usually, that's what happens.

One of my cousins is a poker player. He lives in Summerland, I nice place in Las Vegas. His monthly winnings are come and go and he relates it to being a car salesman and commissions. Some months he will make $7,000 and then another month he will only make $850. With a $1500 mortgage, he has to budget and go through the cycles. It's the big dream.
