New feature - myLot user’s reputation

I don't understand why I only have a 4 when I always do my best to post quality responses. Maybe it's because I don't post as often as I used to? Maybe I don't have enough friends to join in my discussions and give me good ratings? Because I'm only a 4, I'm worried that people will think I'm a moron who posts stuff like 'wat do u prefer diet coke or coke?'. It's more likely that I'll be answering a topic on religion or current affairs, but now people will take my point of view less seriously as a result. If I was a 9 or 10 I'm sure I'd love the system, but I'm not, and since posting good responses obviously isn't enough I don't think it's fair.

Yes, I agree with you. It´s definitely a myLot improvement. People will hopefully feel more encouraged to send quality posts. It´s nice to see your star rating go up and it also gives people an idea how they are doing here. I suppose it can also go down. A bit like the old school days.

I believe it will be a good thing. I do appreciate the quality questions and answers people give, instead of the simple yes, no, maybe answers. I'm interested to see how the new ranking works out.

Yes I agree with you. Also if MyLot says that it doesn mean good or bad I suppose that users like have a big numebr in the star because it measn, at least, that they are writing posts of good quality!

I do agree. I think, as one person said it's a good chance for people to start posting better quality responses instead of their 2 sentence responses that more than likely make no sense. People can see the quality of their posts besides trying for the 'best response' icon besides their name.

When I first joined mylot, I got very confused trying to read as many posts as possible. After a week, I learnt to read and respond to quality posts only. Now, with this new mylot system of star rating, my viewing of posts will be even easier. It is better to have less posts but full of quality than hundreds of thousands of non sensible posts. I would be proud if the earnings through mylot is because of submissions of quality posts and good responses.

I'm all for anything that encourages people to post better quality everything. There's too much stupid crud posted on here and now people have more encouragement to post better things. since now people can see where we all stand as far as quality goes. Of course, there will still be those who don't care, but there's nothing we can do about them.

yah, its good to hear that they introduced the system of rating users. atleast people here will get to know who is qulity user & who is not. by the help of this u can contact to ur quality responsers & talk to them.....i got 7 star here,,,,i think i m good but not the best...how much u got

I like it but want to know what the rating system is I suppose that 1 is the worst and 10 is the best but I am not sure, can anyone help me with this

Oh yes, I think its a wonderful feature. Let's you know where you stand and you can always improve. And it sure is a good booster (I feel very good myself) :)
