| The creator of scooby doo passes....  | | | |  Iwao Takamoto, the US animator who created cartoon dogs Scooby-Doo and Muttley, has died aged 81. Iwao Takamoto was also responsible for characters from The Flintstones and The Jetsons when he worked for the Hanna-Barbera studio. The inspiration for Scooby came from talking to someone who looked after Great Danes, however instead of staying with the Dane's shape he gave Scoobs a hump back, bowed legs, big chin and such. It's too bad another legend has passed away but what a great amount entertainment and laughs he created.
