| |  I agree with the death penalty 'cause God also allowed, even obligated this kind of judgement especially for the murderers, because blodd must be paid by blood too.
God said in qoran (2:178):
"O ye who believe! the law of equality is prescribed to you in cases of murder: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the woman for the woman. But if any remission is made by the brother of the slain, then grant any reasonable demand, and compensate him with handsome gratitude, this is a concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits shall be in grave penalty."

| |  Here's my Liberal response :D
While I don't believe in god, I also don't believe in the death penalty. All moralities aside, I feel that it is all too common for the criminal justice system to make mistakes and wrongly incarcerate innocent people. As if that were not bad enough, to then possibly kill an innocent person would be inexcusable.

| |  In my own opinion killing another person is the most heinous crime that one can commit.
I am not sure why, but it seems that our government is doing this good when it states that capital punishment is allowable because, after all, the criminal did murder an innocent victim, and therefore should be killed.
