Kids maturing today...

I have a 11 year old which is all about electronics. From game systems, to pc's, to now a cell phone. Has society with the many commercials corrupted our kids or have we as parents caused our kids to be so very expensive now-a-days? I know when I was his age me and our friends were happy with something as simple as going to the park or playing dodge ball in the middle of the street, the last thing I thought about was pc's or cell phones. What are your thoughts about this issue.

I guess this generation is really upgrade and high tec. lolz... I find my kids to be the same and yet, so young and picking up so quickly and learning so fast. What can we do about it?

I have no idea. I still try to teach my son that it's just a want. You don't have to have it. But, that's like going in one ear and out the other....
