Secrets of sucessful blogging.

Blogging is a good past time. It is nice to make some money out of it. what are the points for successful blogging? people with sucess can share the secrets .how would you select the topic? how would you arrange the key words? and finally how you link theblog and make it visible?
Is there any body who earns at least $250 a month from blogs?

I think the number of successful bloggers is negligible compared to the number of aspirant bloggers who enter the field of blogging for a pretty good earning. Those who are really successful as bloggers would never help anyone with any fruitful tip. And the most important thing is that most of the claims of earning a lot by blogging are fake. I cannot understand why they do so; what satisfaction they derive from such fake claims.
