Calling a spade as a spade will not work. The straight forwardness should be mellowed and softened.Euphemisms are to be used.Instead of saying Mahatma Gandhi died, decency calls for a mellowed word,"Mahatma Gandhi passed away". Can you recall some incidents in your life?

To refer or call a embarrassing or unpleasant we use euphemism. It is better to call a prison as retraining centre. It makes people very comfortable. Now a days we use"office assistant" in the place of the word "peon", and it makes them to feel good atleast with the word.
