German Potroast

Does anyone have a good recipe for German pot roast. My grandmother used to make a wonderful one that had a gravey with sourcream in it. I just can't seem to duplicate the recipe though. I have gone to foodnetwork but did not find the right one (I actualy tried some of the recipes). If you have any ideas, please let me know. Also, if any of you know of Any good german meals please let me know about those too. Thanks in advance
