I don't follow soccer but this is unbelievable! Quarter of a billion dollars to play for a US soccer team? I didn't even know that LA had a soccer team?? This is an insane amount of money! Talk about being a human brand; the money this guy can pull in is amazing.

I can't understand that a half-wit running after a ball can be worth this amount of money. The sports business has always been crazy, but this takes the biscuit. Hey, Davey! Got a couple of million to spare for a poor, unemployed scientist? ;)

Hit the 500 mark huh! ;) Its really quite ridiculous isn't it! It's like the rich Indian guy over here that spent $50M USD on a wedding..... With all the suffering etc in the world it hardly seems fair! I'll just take the interest for one year thanks Davie Boy! Thanks for responding.

Now that I've reached '500', I'll be able to copy/paste Beckham's wikipedia article too! ;) I agree with you; with the suffering due to poverty in the world, this kind of money spent on one person is rather obscene.
