Are you proud of your nationality and your country? Why?

Australia is multicultural, safe, has beautiful scenery and beautiful weather. Magnificent beaches, wide open spaces, great restaurants and clean, fresh water and food.
For such a large country we have a very small population of around 20,000,000 or so but have world class sporting teams, artists, musicians and business identities. Australians tend to be laid back and easygoing, optimistic and have great senses of humour!
For all of these things I am proud. I am also a British Citizen who was born in Hong Kong but have always referred to myself as an Australian as my father is an Aussie and I have spent most of my 34 years growing up there. Be loud, be proud and tell us why? (or tell us why you are not if that is the case!)

im a chinese born in indonesia, im proud with my country, eventhough there's lot things that need to be fixed here, i have an uncle from australia, and he once asked me to move there but i refused.
I believe that God has some special task for me here, being born in indonesia, so, i want to do a lot of things for my country, and then be proud of what i've done for my indonesia ...

I am yet to travel to Indonesia as well but I have heard wonderful things about it also! You are to be commended on your desire to achieve something for your country. I remember your earlier response in another topic regarding the abuse of Indonesia's forests and oceans..... I hope you achieve your dream of making a difference! Thanks for responding.
