Chopsticks or Fork/Spoon?

I have to use a spoon, fork and a knife. Me using chop sticks, is really funny. My husband can use chop sticks but I just look silly.

We went to a Japanese Steakhouse and they offered me chop sticks and I couldn't even take them for the fear of being embarrassed.

I prefer to use chopsticks for some things, and a fork for others. I generally don't use spoons unless I'm eating cereal or soup. I think chopsticks are way more precise than forks, especially if you're only trying to grab one small thing. Plus it's easier to eat noodles with chopsticks than with a fork or spoon.

I use a spoon and fork, for the simple reason that when it comes to chopsticks, I'm cack-handed and more would end up in my lap than in my mouth.

It's nice, when eating at an oriental restaurant, to be able to use their traditional eating utensils, but try as I might, I always lose my grip on the food when using chopsticks! lol.

If I want to finish my meal within two hours, and satisfy my hunger pangs, I have to use a spoon and fork. My local chinese Restaurant knows me now, and invariably take away the chopsticks and replace them with cutlery when I walk in.:-)

it depends on what I am eating. If it is noodles, I prefer to eat with chopsticks. As for rice, if it is served in a bowl, I prefer chopsticks but if it's on a plate, then it has to be fork and spoon. sushi and most chinese food are best eaten with chopsticks. at least that works for me... however, my husband eats everything with a fork or a spoon and he prefers to eat rice with his hands.

I use chopsticks and write with my left hand, and I usually use forks, spoons, etc with my left hand by instinct, but I play all sports with my right side. I kick with my right foot, I dribble with my right hand, I play tennis with my right hand. I also use the scissors with my right hand. ut overall i think i prefer feeding with forks and spoons.

i prefer using spoon & fork. it's easier for me, not unless if i am in a chinese restaurant.:)

When I was back in England I did try too use chopsticks but it was a real mess,so from that day forward I always use fork and knife.

I have never, to my memory, picked up and used a pair of chopsticks. I am really curious to try them someday to see if I would have any skill with using them. I also probably use a spoon more often than a fork, but some foods aren't easily spooned up*laugh* Anyway, I would like to try chopsticks with noodles and see if I agree with you, because I do find noodles difficult to deal with at times and I usually try to chop them up a bit before picking them up with my fork. It helps me*laugh*^_^

I prefer to use a fork. I don't know how to use chopsticks. I wish I did I find it pretty difficult to use. I only use one hand when using a fork or a spoon though. If I attempt to use the chopsticks I will use both hands and I would prefer to just use one hand while eatting. LOL
