Cat Toys |

| My cat is driving me crazy with these little toy mice. It is the only thing she will play with but she murders them. Ok, since they aren't living things she doesn't murder them. She tears the toy mice apart and the cardboard stuffing inside ends up all over my house. She will not play with any other toy and I can't bare to take them away from her. Are all cats like this? Why doesn't she like variety? | | | | | |

| | My dog did that too. Every toy we would get her should would have torn apart within a matter of hours or minutes, depending on how tough it was. We finally found a few tough toys. I don't know what to do about her not liking any other toy. Do you use catnip? Maybe you can temp her to a new toy with catnip in it. | | | | | | |

| | If you buy any of those expensive electronic toys you'll be wasting your money. My cats love the cheap, crinkly, colorful aluminum foil balls that you can get at Petsmart. Milk rings are a keeper. Never buy foam balls. Cats can chew/swallow them easily and it can make them deathly sick. The below site has some quality, not over-priced toys and cat furniture. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/ | | | | | | |

| | Wow, at least your animals prefer the normal cat or dog toy. Mine, he will steal my hair ties, if we ignore him he will meow until we flip it down the hall so he can chase it and bring it back. Cats have the one toy they wont give up. We have bought plenty of toys for Kashmier and he still wants the hair ties. I can't count how many he has stolen from me. Just know they do like new toys, but they still want the old ones. Good luck. | | | | | | |

| | My cat goes crazy over toy mice. I'll find them in the oddest of places, so I think it's rather common for cats to completely go nuts for toy mice. I'd just keep them around for her to play with since she likes them so much. I know it seems odd to you, but to her she adores them. | | | | | | |

| | My cats the same way! once she finds that one thing she likes, she doesnt want to play with much else for long periods of time. I guess its like growing up and having that one favorite stuffed animal that didnt compare to anything else! | | | | | | |

| | Feel lucky my 2 cats like to play with my kids toys over there own toys. In a way I think it is funny, but then I hate it because when the kids want it they cant find it because the cats lost it on them. I would prefer the cats to play with the toy mouse or little balls but they dont like them. The only toy they like is a ball that sparkles and krinkles that is it. | | | | | | |

| | Sounds like a typical cat to me? I would appreciate that she's not tearing up anything else. Especially not something expensive like the sofa! You could try buying her other cat toys? My cats have their favorite toys. Usually trying to entice them with a different toy doesn't work. They may play with the new toy once or twice, but that's it. Mostly they'll turn their nose up at it and go back to their favorite! | | | | | | |

| | My cat likes her toy mice too, but she also loves chasing a shoestring and a pingpong ball. Her favorite toy is a mouse on an elastic string that hangs over the door. She has to leap up to get it and then it springs all over. She had it less than 22 hours before she literally knocked the squeak out of it. It's a bit of pain to deal with the lost mice and the pieces of toys that she destroys, but it makes her happy. | | | |

| | For me when I tear anything apart is to see what makes them ticks. I guess is the same for dogs and cats. They would like to know what make them what they are and once when the cat catches a real mouse, they won't do that but just eat them. animal and people are alot alike, playful no matter at what age. My cat does that, but its anything you can give them, they hold them with their 2 front claw and start to kick them with their lower legs and while doing that, they would with just leave the head part or try to bit off the upper part. | | | | | | |
