torid kiss or french kiss?

Hi! im so confuse on the difference between torid kiss and french kiss? For me they are the same, you will just kiss the lips but when i watch a movie the leading man asking his leading lady which she prefer in kissing, torid kiss or french kiss. So what is the difference between french kiss and torid kiss?
