With the way of the world changing everyday modern technology has come a long way, for starters our home phones. Something that has been out a little over a year is VOIP (Voice over IP)I don't know if alot of you heard of at&t's service called Callvantage similar to Vontage. Basicially it converts your voice into data so you can place and receive calls over your high-speed modem, and your standard telephone into this adapter they send you. And the traditional lan line phones Verizon where you plug it into a phone jack. I have had both services and I admit there are pros and cons to them both. With the VOIP, Everything is literally free i pay no more than 32.00 a month and have every feature that Verizon has. The downfall to having VOIP is if your electricity goes out for any given reason, Yep, your phone goes with it as it being hooked up to the internet. I have a cell. So with this being said, Have any tried VOIP, interested in it, or just plain content with the lan service. The reason I ask is because I have not met very many people who has tried it and interested to know if their are other people who has mixed feelings about either..Please share your thoughts to either...
