My unit will record and play VHS tapes. It will not record or play DVD's. We insert a DVD-RW and get a message that the disc is incorrect or no disc. We insert an existing movie DVD, like Disney's Tigger and that will not play. Should we be able to see the light of the lense when we open the door? We can't see any light. Could this be burnt out? What do we need to do? We do not want to send in for repair because of the high cost. Would a disc cleaner help? Any suggestions?
