My first actual reunion was after 16 years, I contacted my first love, we met at Stone Mountain Park where we both worked at the time, we broke up and went our separate ways, got married, had children and got divorced. I sent him a letter (luckily his family still lived in the same house),we re connected, and rekindled our love...however when we talked on the phone and saw each other for the first time, it was if we hadn't been apart at all. We got married 7 months later and had a child of our own, now we have 4 children; his (a daughter, now 18), mine (a daughter, now 21, a son, now 18)and ours (a son, now 8),We've been happily married for 9 years. Two years ago, through Classmates.com another friend (one we both worked with and I went to high school with)contacted me, we all met one afternoon and found out he lives about 3 miles from us; the three of us hang out ALL the time. It's been great! I haven't really re connected with anyone else but that's ok, I have my husband and we have our friend!

wow! that's quite a story. I guess I have had a few reunions, but none of them quite as long as 16 years. I had a boyfriend named Jason that I went out with when I was 14, and I saw him again when I was about 20 or so, and we hung out and had a good time, he was into a lot of the same stuff I was into, so we went to a few raves together and watched some movies at his house, but nothing big ever rekindled. I hadn't really been that in love with him when I was 14 either. I liked this guy Josh when I was 16 and I contacted him again when I was like 18 and that went well. We had both grown in the same direction and got very well and he became a very, very good friend of mine once we reconnected. And my first adult love was a man named Art that I kind of always kept in contact with after we broke up, except for the first 6 months, because that's always too hard, at least for me. Now, I see him occassionally, and he sometimes makes comments that he would like to get back together, but at this point, he still lives with his Mom and I definitely am not a fan of this, so it's not going anywhere. I recently tried to reconnect with thie girl Jen that I was really good friends with about 10 years ago. I saw her on myspace and sent her a message, but she ignored it, so I didn't bother her further. I think it is always good to try and reach out. Sometimes it is disappointing to reuinte with someone, but sometimes it is great, as the original poster can attest.
