Are the lifetime free creditcards are really free?

Last month I had been offered a lifetime free (annual fee) creditcard from a creditcard company. I have applied for it,but I am not sure whether are these worth? and will these be lifetime free? or at one point of time they charge all the fees? Any one come across this situation?

pls donot believe and promote such free
lifetime credit cards from unknown providers .

Yes. I just enquired that the there are some creditcard companies offering life time free (annual fee) cards for corporates. One of my friends are using those since 4 years without annual fees. The card is ICICI.
