Have you ever used the Reed Diffusers for adding scent to a room?  

I am curious myself. I saw a beautiful diffuser at Cost Plus, but it was $30. My husband would not appreciate me spending that much, so I passed. I think they are interesting. I am wondering too if they lose their scent.

I love the reed diffusers by Yankee Candle. They sell them at the Yankee stores, at Linens& Things, and Yankee.com. They have a variety of scents- I like a more spicy scent like cinnamon, but they have all kinds including fruity, woodsy, and flowery. They are strong enough to fill the room and greet you as you open the door, but are definitely not overpowering. I like them better than those plug-in to the outlet fragrancers; they scare me because of the potential for fires.

I haven't used the ones you are discussing, but I use plug in ones all over the house. I have to unplug the one in the bedroom at night, as the scent can be a bit overpowering and I find it difficult to sleep.

I love using the reed diffusers. One of the stores near me was having an after Christmas sale and I was able to get 4 of then for $5. I figured it they did not work I was not out all that much so I bought them. I found that only one scent, Spice Cranberry. was over powering but when I removed a few of the rods that it became a nice scent

Darn, I was just selling some during the holidays but I do have some in other forms(not reeds). There are room diffusers that plug in and use some refillable, pad-like inserts and there are some for vehicles too. If you'd like more info I can give you my website link.

I bought a package of reeds about a month ago and have been using little bottles Ihave to put them in.

I think they work pretty well but it very subtle. You need to "flip" the reeds over to get a burst of scent sometimes and they are probably best in small rooms or sitting on the desk where you are working if there is no breeze to encourage evaporation to spread the scent, but I enjoy having them.

Now that I have seen what the reeds are like, and I have a HUGE amount of them, I am going to see if I can't have my husband just cut and sand a few for me when I am ready to replace them as they are rattan and you can find that pretty easily.
