which way is better for download? Torrents or http links or emule or limewire?

I've been using Ares and Limewire but from time to time my computer does get viruses, thank god i have a anti-virus program. I just recently learned about torrents and they seem like a great idea but I can't seem to get them to work. Whenever i try to download them they always go slow on any torrent program I use, any suggestions?

I use emule i think is easy to you and you can find all abuot what you want

I must admit I haven't used the other ones you have mentioned but I do use limewire. I used to use a program called dc downloads but it seemed quite complicated, limewire is definately alot more simpler to use, but seems to be less participants!

We use limewire as it is one of the better one's bearshare is full of bugs and isnt that good!

I think torrent files are a lot better. You can reach higher speeds and download bigger files using programs such as utorrent. Emule is good to use for uncommon files that are hard to find in general. Nothing is 100% virus free but if you know what to look out for than you increase your chances of not getting a virus. Definally always have an active virus scanner on your computer and look out for suspicious links. Usually simple to the point links are legit.
