I have had great success with my depression with amino acids. I cannot tell you which ones, but the book, MOOD CURE, by Julia Ross, M.A. has the most comprehensive information on amino acids... and they are not all that expensive. She has several self-tests with questions that will point you to the correct amino acid. It might be a brain chemical imbalance, especially at this point... but here's my disclaimer... I am only a lay person working in the alternative healing field, and cannot diagnose. You can obtain the book from your local library, or online. It's quite available. Then look for a good naturopath or even an allopathic doctor that would be open to something besides anti-depressants, or who could know how to help you stabalize while you do some research.
