co-sleeping |
| |
| How many of you out there let your children sleep in bed with you? my daughter is 6 months old and she has slept in bed with me since birth. I am nursing so i find it much easier to have her in bed with me when she wakes up in the middle of the night she gets fed and falls back to sleep relatively fast compared to if i'd have to pick her up get her settled for a feeding and then get her to fall back to sleep. Plus i just like having her near me when i sleep. i know she's safe and comfortable and warm. Daddy doesn't like it.. for those who are Pro co-sleeping - how can i tell him this is what my instinct tells me to do without causing yet another argument? and for the non co-sleepers - Why are you against it? isn't it natural? | | | | | |

| | I am for co-sleeping up until they are done nursing. They need that security feeling and bonding with the mother. Only advice I can give you is to sit down with your husband and tell him how important this is to you and you really need his support on this as a husband and father. | | | | | | |

| | Well, I definitely wore your shoes before because when my son was a baby, I also nursed and he slept in bed with me too, my husband also didn't like that. But, for mothers who nurse, it's like an attachment you have more with a baby whose nursing. No matter what you say really, your husband isn't going to really hear what you have to say because he wants attention too. He loves his baby of course, but at the same time, he wants things how it used to be and that's you and him with some "alone time". Just try to make enough space on the bed to fot your husband too and also attention, and hopefully he'll become ok with everything. | | | | | | |

| | I'm not against it but I'm not doing it. I would be affraid to lie on my kid, he's only 11 months old and he's a very small baby. And I know kids who have slept in their parents bed untill they where 12 because they were scared to sleep alone in their own bed. I don't want that, my son sleeps since his second week in his own bed in his own bedroom and he's fine with it. The first week he slept in our room but not in our bed. I think you should follow your instinct, you're a mother and like to have your child next to you. You're right, it's natural indeed, but nothing for me. Hugs, | | | | | | |
