Who can play like Jimi Hendrix?  |

|  Did you ever try to play with your teeth? Or do you think you can almost play as good as Jimi (no way!), and which guitarists you think come close to him?
To me that's nobody, he is still the king. And I already tried with my teeth, but it's very difficult to be that accurate, really impossible and at your back isn't that hard as it seems..but with his teeth!!? That's amazing, don't you think?

| |  Hi mate, i saw there are also some videos of Robin Trower live performances on youtube, great stuff have a look.
There are older and also new takes from up to 2005 on the site but watch out there are a lot of vidoes from guys trying to play like him, some of sounds pretty bad ... lol

| | What about Stevie Ray Vaughan??? did you get to hear him there are also videos to see at youtube. This guy also did some versions from Hendrix songs like Little Wing or Voodoo Child, he did that just wonderful in my opinion one of the great guitarplayers that we lost in 1990.

ps. tell me what you think in my opinion i never got to see a guitarist doing Voodoo Child in such a marvelous way,

| | as far as him being the best,or someone else being the best...it is all good..but that era was my era...we stopped america in it's tracks...we managed to impeach A (NASTY) president...and we caused kaos across this nation to help stop the creepy war..!!
it worked everybody who participated were great..not just the musicians...but those musicians were my heroes and ..still today they are...and hendrix was one of my favorites...his voice...his guitar melodies and his words and emotions were incredible to me.!
and my favorite song is still his version of;"like a rolling stone"....written by bob dylan.
hendrix did it live at the;"monterey pop festival"...in 1967...and it seemed like he puled it right off his cuff...and it just seemed to flow like magic to me...still does...
i miss those days..we are living in days that are much worse than those days..president bush..is a much worse criminal than nixon could ever think about being...and today with all the brain washing thats going in the media...well..they make bush look like a hero...but more and more people are seeing through this...! | | | | | | |

| | I have never played with my teeth lol but I can definatly play all of his music. He is one of my favoites. But I like more technical players like Steve Via if you dont know him he is a solo artist. Check out some of his stuff and you will see what i mean by technical. I've beeen playing 25 yrs and teaching for 15. It is my full time job and I have alot of students who request me to teach them to play Hendrix. | | | | | | |
