is anybody currently in DC? What section do/did you live?

My family is from DC and I lived there for about 20 years. I lived around Hyattesville, Forestville and Southeast. I worked for the DC Police Department and the Mayor's office for several years. I miss home sooooooo much. I moved to Chicago 3 years ago. How about you?

I used to live in Manassas up till just a few months ago where we moved to Colorado. I love it here, I dont ever want to move back. I do miss all the history that you can find in DC area. I do miss that. I dont miss the traffic, the crime and the rude people. People here are so friendly that we were like shocked when we first moved here that people really want to help you out in a store, bank, restaurant.
I can imagine that between DC and Chicago, Id probably choose DC too...no ill will intended, i just dont like big cities.

I guess I've always been a big city girl. Chicago is waaaaaay bigger. I like it though. But I miss home.
