How would you feel if your company could trade you to another company?

We all know that sports teams are always trading players to other teams to make themselves better. What if your company could trade you to another company for another employee doing similar work? How would you feel about it? Would you oppose the trade or accept it?

If worked for a company that did not pay on time I too would love to be traded for a company that paid on time or paid better as long as it was a job that I would enjoy doing.

My company cannot trade me, but my school district has in my contract that they can "reassign me" as they wish for the benefit of the district, so it is the same thing. I saw that clause used once to force someone to seek employment elsewhere. If it was not a reassignment I wanted, I would quit, simple as that.

That is a interesting way to put it and a good one. Reassigning someone is similar to being traded. For me I think it would depend on what company I was being traded to or reassigned to in order for me to decide if I would like it or not and if I would quit. It would also depend on the opportunities available at the other company.

Well, it depends if I like the job then I'll stay but, if I had too much of that place, then trading me wouldn't be a bad idea at all. I'll take it in a heart beat.

It would depend on what job I was doing. If it was for the same type of job I am doing now and paid better I would do it. There are some jobs that I would not do.
