I just finished reading this book about the holocaust. I've watched Schindler's List, but I was moved even more after reading this book. It speaks of horrors beyond my imagination and what shocks me even more is the realization that these events as described in the book actually happened. How anyone could go to such depths to annihilate another human race is just beyond me... Where do you think Hitler's soul is now?

I haven't read that book but I have read a similar one called "Concentration camp-Auschwitz".The book, which falls into different chapters, depicts the shocking realities of the concentration camps.Human life was trampled under the feet of SS officers and the Nazis even worse than a bug.It shows how cruelly the jews, gypsies, pols etc. were dicimated in the gas chambers.I almost cried when read the story of a man who had to cut the hair of his only son before being sent to the gas chamber to be killed and take the body out to the crematorium. He too was finally killed inorder to destroy all the evidence of atrocities.

I have to agree that this was a very moving book. I read this in high school and have to say that it was one of the books that was really worthwhile reading. I cannot understand how someone would want to eliminate an entire group of people, but I also must consider Hitler's health during that time. His mind was obviously racked with disease. Not that I consider that an excuse for his actions, because he was a terrible man. As for his soul, I think only god knows where his soul is to end up.

the holocaust caused by hitler could be on his direct orders or some of his subordinates could have decided to take the initiative to endear himself to hitler so i cant say or judge about hitlers soul

Well I believe in reincarnation sooo I would have to say he'll spend 1000 years as the lowest bug that gets crushed everyday... and yes the book was one of the best I ever read... have you read any of his others?
