Me and my friends were talking to a 'fill in' teacher last year, who came from India. We were on the topic of arranged marriages, and she had said, to our suprise, they were very successful. Has anyone here have any more information about this, or better yet, been involved in an arranged marriage?

Yes arranged marriage prove successful. Mine too is arranged. What i feel is that in love marriage people are living an artificial life where in both act as very good towards each other. These things change after marriage and when truth moves in the relationship gets sour. In arranged marriage you dont have overexpectatons and come to facts straightaway.

here in india most of the marriages are arranged...and 95% of them are sucessful, but i dunno how it happens, and often wonder why,but when marriages here in india are not arranged its often ends up in a divorce in 60% of the cases

i would mostly prefer arrange marriage because here you dont know each other very well so we could have a good relation ship with each other , i had seen most of the marriage which are arrange are succesful while the love marriages are often not succesful i have no offences against love marriage !
