Hi all! I don't know how many of you on this site live in the UK, but oh my god! The weather we are having at the moment. At the moment we are in the throws of a terrible storm! So far about 4 bins have flown past my window, and I'm concerned that one of my trees is going to fall on my house, that's unless the wind gets any stronger and blows my house down anyway!

I hope it will not get worse that your communication to the outside world will suffer a temporary setback. And yes, here in my country, we suffer from fierce hurricanes 20-25 times a year when houses literally do fly.

harris24982 (442) | 3 years ago | ime luck with my phoneline the local hospital is behind my house useing the same lines so it never takes more than a day for them to get it fixed
hurricanes 20 -25 times a year? half of my town is closed with the couple of days bad wind it would never be open with that amount

3. Alexandria37 (4536) | 3 years ago | I don't live too far away from you - just across the sea in Ireland. Our weather is pretty similar to yours at the moment. A polly tunnell flew past my back window this morning, and I was so glad that it landed in the garden next door. My garden arch has blown down and my plants and shrubs look as though they have been trampled to death. A lot of the country is without electricity but I have lots of candles on standby. However, I will have no heating and my little oil stove is in the garden shed, and there is no way that I will put my nose outside the house to retrieve it. Maybe things will have improved by to-morrow.
