Well, so far we've signed three players, and only one of those I would maybe call rubbish- Quashie. I honestly don't know why Curbs signed him, it's a position we were already quite strong in and he's a jinx, relegated with every club he's played for!
But Boa Morte is a proven quality player who can play anywhere upfront, and Davenport is a class defender and apparantly he had a good debut yesterday. Lucas Neill will also be a good signing if we get him. Let's hope we can sign a decent striker in the next 10 days, someone to play with Ashton when he's fit.

i think there is a crisis of confidence with the club at the moment, caused by the bungling of the board (perhaps one of the most incompetant boards in the Premiership) and I doubt we have a manager who can rise above it, but time will tell, WHU will of course be lucky to avoid relegation no matter which players they have and go in yet again another period of rebuilding :-(
