I live in South Africa and none of these are really big here. I know that they are huge over there in America though. But which one is the biggest and most followed? or are they all the same? I watch a few of them on ESPN and i'd have to say that American Football is my favourite, wish we that sport over here...
So tell me... who wins?

American football is the most followed sport in America. I, personally, only follow one team out of all sport - excluding the Olympics - and that's the Auburn Tigers. They are a college football team. Other than that, I don't really watch sports.
Secondly, I would say, would be either basketball or racing. In the northern states, a lot of people like Hockey as it's more familiar to people near Canada and the cold weather. Baseball is followed but it's more followed in local towns - children/teenagers playing in leagues and such.

All of these sports are great to watch-- and they all have a huge fanbase. People say America is defined as baseball and apple pie so if you think of it that way it would be baseball. I like them in this order
football
basketball
baseball
Hockey
But like I said each sport has a huge fan base and if you asked 100 Americans what order they liked them in it would probably be split down the middle.
Another big "sport" is auto racing- That is huge in America.

I have followed all those sports closely and I can tell you that Football is biggest by far. Did you know over 100 million people watched the SuperBowl this year between the Giants and the Patriots? Basketball is second, Baseball is third, and Hockey is the least watched sport.
