Do you believe that marriage is for child bearing alone?

This is a serious question in most part of black africa.A lot of people in this part of the world belives that marriage is first meant for child bearing,and once the wife has not put to bed in the first 2 years of marriage, there will be mounting pressure on the husband to marry andother woman.This is a serious malaise.Is it the same in your culture?

I do believe that in most circumstances you should be living with the partner and married before having children but I wouldnt rule it out totally a different circumstance.
In terms of marriage only being for that reason its complete rubbish. I wouldnt get married ever if I thought the only reason the wife wanted it so much was to have kids, I want to know she loves me, that I love her, we treat each other right and want to be together for the rest of our lives. Kids in the first instance are just one path your future could take as a couple.
