At what age should a lady get marry?

I GOT MARRIED AT 18 AND I HAVE 2 KIDS. MY HUSBAND IS 24 AND WE ARE HAPPY. I KNEW HIM ONLY 1 1/2 YEARS B4 HE ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM AND I AM HAPPY. I WOULD HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING DIFFERENT. MY MARRIAGE DID NOT STOP ME FROM GOING TO SCHOOL NOR DID MY KIDS. I AM A RN AND HE IS A COMPUTER TECH. IF UR MIND IS RIGHT AND THE LOVE IS THERE GO AHEAD AND GET MARRIED NO MATTER HOW OLD U ARE SAY FU*& WHAT ANYBODY THINKS..I DID IT AND IM HAPPY.

personally, i think that it really depends upon the individual. if she is ready financialy, spiritually and emotionally...then go ahead.:)

the view that i have on the age to get married now is much differnt than what i thought 10 years ago. in islaam our children marry very young sometimes and that has to do with how they are being raised at home and their maturity level. being muslim now and raising my children much differently than i would if i were not muslim. in islaam there is not dating and intermingling of the sexes. thats why there is no milk without buying the cow. we raise our children to respect themselves and thats its ok to be a virgin. if a man wants to possibly marry a women then he gets in contact with her quardian(father,brother, uncle or appointed person). this person acts on her behalf to check him out...jail and all his past bascially, ask around in the community, check out his job, mental illness, aids test etc. this may seem extreme but in the end it is worth it. the women is under no pressure to marry anyone that she doesn't want to. its all her decision. they can even talk to each other face to face so long as the wali is there. thats to keep it safe and not let the little whispers come into your head if they were alone. if they decide they want to marry then they do and consummate the marriage after the cerimony. this to me is much safer and more respectful. some people may have a warped sense of what they think muslim women go through with the dress and all but its very stress free and women have been given many rights that non-muslim people aren't aware of. sure there are some muslim nuts and extremist out there but i want to be one of the ones to say don't punish every muslim for what a few very bad ones do. to answer the question any age is a good age to marry so long as you have it together in your head and you are ready.
