The Movie Hamlet

My husband read the play to me, I got interested so we watched the Movie with Mel Gibson, It was great, I really could understand what was going on he said his lines with such passion. I cried when his girlfriend went crazy and died. I thought this relates so much to so many people. Who else has seen this movie and what is your opinion.

The movie with Mel Gibson is ok, but I prefer the one with Kenneth Branagh. He is a trained Shakespearean actor and his version of Hamlet does not leave out any scenes so that it is more true to the play. Kenneth Branagh has been in many Shakespeare movies and if he is in it then it usually is pretty good. Hamlet is one of my favorite plays.

Hi. I saw the movie and I saw so many versions of it and I really dont know what makes Shakespeare so sexy. I love Macbeth, I love Hamlet, I love the Twelfth Night, i love almost everything Shakespeare wrote. It would be so much better though if the characters of Shakespeare are played by people who truly know th part. Well, Mel Gibson did not diappoint me. :)

This was a fantastic version of Hamlet. Mel Gibson was perfect for the role. If one did not know better you'd swear it was written with him in mind. He brought it new life and passion for todays viewers. It was one I have enjoyed watching several times. It's one I'd tell others to watch for it is not at all what I thought it would be when I think of Shakespeare.
