eating meals with just your hands (not even a chopstick)

In rural places in the Philippines some folks still prefer to eat without spoon or fork. Given a chance to visit the Philippines, are you willing to forget your ways for a moment and eat rice with just your hands? And take your soup straight from the bowl (slurp). it's worth trying.

i am from the philippines and when at home, i always love to eat meals just using my hands. and sipping soup directly from a small bowl. i feel comfortable eating this way. my boyfriend is from sweden. and when we ate at our house, he was amazed on how i ate using my bare hands. and amazingly, he tried it, too. and he did great! i am glad there there are now barbecue restaurants here where we can eat just using our hands. sounds yuck to others. but try it first!

Not only at philiphines, everywhere I prefer to eat with my hands. I relish more and it gives me the complete satisfaction when I use my hand to eat and drink. I love my food more when it is cooked in earthern pots/vessels and served in earthern plates.
