Should parents continue to finance their children after the children are 18?

Were there many children in your family?
Do you think that children are different today from the time when you were child? Or from 50 years ago? 100 years ago?
What is the most important thing that we need to teach children?

They can if they want to, but I think I would be a bit ashamed to live of my parents now that I got my own job :-)

Yes, they need more finance that ever.
If my and my wife's parents had not helped us buy a house we would still be in rented accommadation.
The deposit needed for a house purchase in the UK is huge. Even if the young have good jobs they still need help with an injection of cash now and again.
If you really feel mean, you can ask for the money to be paid back as a loan rather than a gift.
