Is a home-based job a dead end job?  | |  Many people are trying on homebased jobs because they're very convenient, you don't have to work with a boss around you, you undergo less pressure, you can go straight to bed after work and some homebased jobs don't have to make you pay taxes. You don't have to spend for your lunch because you don't have to eat out. But what's next? after all the comfort that home could bring for your job, what would happen to your social life? Could a person grow his/her career in a homebased job? Would another employer accept a person who had an experience working at home? They say that 1 out of a million opportunities could be out there waiting for you. Should we brush these opportunities off in place of a homebased job? I would like to hear your opinions in this, because i am one of those people working at home, and I'm also concerned with my future career, and the quality of life that i'm living. Is there life after a homebased job?

i have worked from home, and have been hired to work in a corporate environment and now i'm back working at home. nothing works better for me than working from home. but if i have any plans of building a career in a corporate world, then i think i better start looking for regular jobs out there. what kind of career do you want?

 blackaquea (242) | 3 years ago | i feel exactly the same way while i'm working for home. it's as though i'm not putting enough effort and i don't feel any challege for my career to grow. i'd really like to have my own business someday but as of now, i'm still working as a teacher. if i could go to other countries, my pay as a teacher could go way up but it's hard to get a visa and to fix the papers and all so i end up doing this homebased thing. | |

| blackaquea (242) | 3 years ago | thanks a lot! i'll keep that in mind. i don't want to climb the corporate ladder, yet, i want to earn more money. it's very difficult to earn money nowadays without trying on the corporate ladder. the reason why i'm saying this is that in a home based job, i don't see an upward direction to where my career is going. if i join the corporate world, there are many opportunities for me to be promoted and earn benefits that i would need in life. Benefits such as housing, insurance, tax contributions, etc. i'd try to think about what you said. thanks again! | |
