What was cool when you graduated school?  

I remeber those movies as well but I don't remeber if they were from the year that I graduated.
I do recall Boney M and Meatloaf being popular. The Starwars movies were out. And I had more than 1 pair of leg warmers so I know I saw Flashdance.
Kermit the Frog's...It Ain't Easy Being Green was also on the radio

interesting topic - i must say i dont really remember what was the thing i though was cool i graduated from collegge ! that is strange one tho :|

In high school I remember going to my friend's dads house at lunch time and watching the new TV channel- MTV. They had like 5 videos back then and they'd play them over and over. They had veejays, too-- rememeber Martha Quinn with her shag haircut and one big earring, like a helicopter, hanging from her ear? MTV was definitely hot back then. Other things? Hmmm, my friend's Pontiac Fiero! We thought we were the coolest things, cruising around in that, especially after driving around in her moms station wagon before that!

Rave & Old Skool Hardcore, Techno, Pirate Radio etc was 'cool' when I graduated from school back in 1992 - I still love it now! Not sure what films were around then (I was too busy getting drunk & being a nuisance to society) but I love Nat Lampoons Vacation (or any film with Chevy Chase for that matter)
