I'm telling you the very first reality show I even considered watching was Real World on MTV. Throughout the years, more and more reality shows come on. From filming someone everyday life, to having surgeries on tv, to make-overs, and this list can go n and on....Either they come out and didn't get enough ratings, or discontinued the show. I admit, I find some of them just down right funny, and some in fact are very informative depending on what kind of reality show it is... but some, I question WHY? or how did it even make it on tv....Futhermore, I can't believe how some of these celebrities act behind the scenes like Bobby and Whitney, that show was a hot mess (meaning ridiculous), Do you think that with all these reality shows that come on, it's taking away from quality shows that go unheard of? My thought there are possible shows that just don't make it because some reality show is giving the tv-watchers more excitement? What are your thoughts to all these different types of reality shows that come on?

I prefer to watch something like the Gilmore girl ,more down to earth not a bunch of nonesene. If you want to call it excitment lol...

I really loved reality shows when they first started airing. They seemed fresh and new and exciting, and were like game shows (which I love) combined with learning about people and studying human behavior, which is something else that pleases me greatly. So it was kind of like a dream come true. But as time went on, the shows became more and more a bout tricks, gimmicks, fooling people, and drama. This, in my opinion, ruined reality television for me in large part. Most of what is on now is more like a soap opera than a reality show. I really believe that a lot of the drama that goes on is scripted to one extent or another, as well. I have turned away from most reality shows because of this. Although I do still watch Big Brother, because it is still the one that is the most about human relationships,a nd I cannot resist it. I do really prefer the non-American versions of BB, though. I regularly watch the Australian and British versions, but moreso the Aussie one because they seem to be less about casting really extreme people just for the sake of creating drama.
