Well, I'm sorry to hear that about you. My husband is Bipolar type 2 and he took medicaion for it which he wasn't suppose to because it isn't as bad as type 1, which I believe you have. He took Lithium for his and it was affecting his sex drive, so he stopped and he is fine now. He could be cranky sometimes, but he controls himself and doesn't need pills to do so. Sorry I don't know about those pills that you're taking. Hopefully, they're just fine.

I was on effexor, years ago, for anxiety and depression, and that stuff made me absolutely loopy. It didn't work for me either. I was on Remeron for a while for depression and to help me sleep, and that worked for as long as I needed it. I'm not on it anymore. I don't need it.

My husband is Bi polar and I have depression and anxiety attacks. He is on Depakote, Geodon and Paxil. I am on Lexapro and a few other meds but they are for other things. The meds my husband is on were helping him really good at first but we think they need adjusted because he has been having a lot of down days. I was on Wellbrutrin and it worked very good for me but quit working after 2 years. So my doctor put me back on Lexapro (I was on this first) and it seems to be helping more than it did the first time around. I have heard of Effexor but have never been on it. I have never heard of Lamictal though. Maybe my husband ought to try this since these other pills aren't working as good as they used to. My mother n law is on Xanax and has been on them for awhile now. They help her pretty good. I am glad these are working out for you because it is hard to find the right medication.:)
