Zakir Hussain was a great tabla player. I like him playing tabla.
Zakir Hussain Qureshi has culminated the art of playing tabla to an unprecedental level. He mesmerises the mass with his beat.
Zakir Hussain was born in 1951 to a classical family. He inherited his musical talent from his father, Allah Rakha of Punjab Gharana. From the early childhood, he got the musical environment and opportunity to polish his talent. He achieved his degree of classical music from Washington University. He started his performance with Pt. Ravi Shankar. He plays tabla for hours without being tired as a child plays toys pleasurly.
Everytime the tabla maestro performs his tabla, he evokes hysteria among the youth.
