Remember the classic Monopoly, Life and games like that? Growing up we played them all of the time. We always had alot of fun.
Do kids still play the classic versions? If not, why do you think they don't? Do families play the old board games? If not, why wouldn't they?

We have about fifty board games if not more . We have some of the traditional one's like monopoly . The children enjoy playing them when they have friends over and so do the adults . We usually try to get a game where we can break up into teams men versus the woman . Just to make it competitive . We always win of course lol .

I remember playing Monopoly when I was a kid. We would play half the night, until my mom would make us go to be.we would leave everything set in place and pick up the game the next day where we left off.
I wonder if families still play marathon length games like that anymore and actually follow through until the end.

We have a few of those games here and I have only recently started introducing them to my kids. They love monopoly and battleship became a huge hit with them. It's a great way to spend some quality time together with family.

My husband and I love to play board games and we always get our friends involved when they are older. My children are still too young for board games but we let them "help" us when we play. I think it is a good way to get people together and do more than just sit in front of the TV. We like the old games but we do try the news ones as well.

I think it's a great way to spend time away from the TV also. We should play more together around here. I'm not sure why we don't. I enjoyed it growing up.

Monopoly, Candy Land, Life, uno, skip-bo..i could go on and on! i miss those games. I know that when my girls are old enough to play, we will play the classic games. I think that alot of families are too much into TV and the computer now days instead of old fashioned quality time. its sad. Kids need that time with their parents just having fun and not being shushed because a tv show is on or ignored because of the computer.

We LOVE board games, in fact I bought the kids mostly all board game for Christmas. We have sorry, clue, life and POTC life, , and Monopoly. When we get started RV'ing we will get games geared toward Geography and History. I figure those will be fun ands education things to add to our travels.
