your credit score because too many check it too often? How do you stop them from pre-screening your credit reports? Help!

Actually, the rule that says that you can pull your credit multiple times in 14 days only applies to cars and homes. Don't worry though. Your concern is the type of credit pull. A "hard" pull is when you request your credit to be checked because you are applying for something. A "soft" pull is when a bank or other lending institution checks so they can send you a Preapproval or other marketing material. These "soft" pulls show up on your report but do NOT reduce your score. Best of luck!
