Eliminate and control ghost ants

We have ghost ants at home, in the kitchen, on and in the fridge, around the couter top, the oven, the microwave, in the garage, in the bathrooms,.. anybody knowing anything to eliminate them? I can't stand it no more. We tried pest control, didn't work, tried Terro Ant killer, they came after a while.
