have you tried a puffer fish?...its poisonous....  

Well, I am so glad that I never tried that fish before. I am picky about my fish. So, I only eat the ones that are very delicious like shrimps and talipias.

It is quite good. We catch them here in late August early September. When I first tried it years ago, I had no idea about the poison. When my sons started fishing a few years ago, it was so much fun to catch them, they are pretty tough to get off the hook because they puff up and grind their teeth! So you have to rub them to get them to relax and then you can get them off the hook. Anyway, sorry for getting off track. We were throwing them all back. In a discussion with a friend of mine who also fishes, he knows how to clean them, so this past August I brought 47 of them to him and we had quite a good meal! Come visit around that time! I'll cook for you!

i have watched this on a show before. and thank GOD i dont have any apetite for this. yes it is poisonous but there are techniques how to take it off.. but i think you cant force me to eat it :)

I've watched quite a few features on tv about the puffer fish and I've seen a few live ones myself but I haven't actually eaten one. I don't want to risk it. I'd rather stick with what I usually eat. That way, I don't get into trouble. Lol.

Then again, Japanese people say that the risk is worth it. It's pretty scary because the toxin in this fish is deadly. Instant death. Plus not anybody can just clean it because one wrong move can cause the sac to burst. I've heard stories that expert chefs in Japan have made mistakes... That's pretty scary for me.

Is puffer fish eatable??

Gosh, i won't want to eat that. What if, there is still some poison in the fish even after cook.

Taking risk for just a bit is not my type.

There are tons of good fish out there, go try other non poisonous fish lol.
