Ever since my family had the stomach flu we now eat homemade baked bread instead of store bought bread. Because we eat a large amount of bread and one store bought loaf usually ends up gone within the day, I have seen a differance in our health. There are only a few ingrediants in homemade baked bread. Flour, a small amount of oil, water, yeast, and a pinch of salt. I read the ingrediants of store bought shelf bread and WOW what a differance. We consume so many un-needed products no wonder we have many stomach problems. I just thought I'd share this with all of you out there. We should really read the ingrediants on the labels before buying it. How are we suppose to stay fit and healthy if we keep buying products that have a large amount of unwanted by-products? Our bodies can't digest properly with all those added extra ingrediants. When you buy store bought shelf bread - read the ingrediants and compare with that you can make at home. Fresh baked bread can really make a differance and it is a whole lot cheaper. The work involved (especially if you have a bread machine) is worth it.

I totally agree and I love homemade bread, but I just don't have the time to make it all the time :( I often bake bread on Saturdays, but like your family, we go through it a lot and there's never any left by the end of the week. I don't really care for it when it's been frozen, so I don't like to do that. If I didn't work full time, I'd definitely make it more often.

you are very smart to stick with that you can make it with whole grain flour and that is even healthier than white

Fresh baked breads are so hot and they have good smell. They will be so much spongey and will be sweat eat a lot. I like breads a lot and Fresh means no chance of leaving it. Surely i will take more than one to eat.
